The annual report of a large insurance Group such as Generali is undoubtedly complex and full of data. Right from the design stage, Generali conceived the website for the annual report 2009 as an instrument to facilitate access to information, including, and above all, for a specialist audience.
This is the reason behind the choice of direct access to the segment reporting of the three business segments, the direct link from the homepage to M&A and Agreements, the introduction on various pages of the website of slides for analysts linked to the contents of the report.
In the section Financial statements users can find items directly linked to the notes and to the recognition criteria, while income and equity data are made available interactively over a historic 6-year series.
The website was created on the specific Message web platform for html financial reports and, on the basis of a web surfing and graphic design put forward by Message, was then broadly tailored to meet the needs of the Generali Group’s financial communication.
