FT and Corporate website effectiveness: Roche, BP and Nokia on the winners’ rostrum

The FT Bowen Craggs Index, the index developed by the Financial Times with Bowen Craggs, analyses the effectiveness of the online communication of institutional websites. The following company websites held the top 10 positions in 2009:

  1. Roche (Switzerland)
  2. BP (UK)
  3. Nokia (Finland)
  4. Siemens (Germany)
  5. Schlumberger (US)
  6. Eni (Italy)
  7. Unilever (Holland/UK)
  8. General Electric (US)
  9. IBM (US)
  10. Royal Dutch Shell (Holland/UK)

Compared to the European list issued by Hallvarsson & Halvarsson, Bowen Craggs’ classification expands the scope of the assessments to companies in the FT Global 500 index, but nonetheless the top three websites are from European companies.

The Top Servers are divided into “serving society”, “serving investors”, “serving the media”, “serving jobseekers” and “serving customers
